Rick's experiences of computing started at school when the maths department took delivery of a brand new Apple IIe computer system. This is what sparked the interest that would turn in to a life time's interest and career.
After leaving school his career started at a research and development facility where he nurtured his interest in computers on a Prime 600 mainframe, being an assistant computer administrator to the site.
Moving on from there he went to IBM's UK research and development facility and spent four years experiencing the development of software and hardware of computing the IBM way.
During that time, he went to college and studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering to HNC standard. After that he moved on to commercial sectors being employed by local companies that required his skills. He continued to develop these skills as the computer industry advanced at a pace.
Taking in technologies such as Novell Netware, Windows Server, networking infrastructure, Software development, and more recently Mobile networking, remote access technologies, and security analysis.
Teaming up with the other partners of Century IT Services gave Rick the ideal opportunity to further his career and develop the basis of sound computer services company.
