Darren began his IT career as an apprentice in 1998 with a large firm of chartered accountants based in Southampton city centre where he was employed as an assistant I.T manager.
Managing a large 100 user+ network kept Darren very busy and was probably what started his passion with computing and I.T. Being responsible for such a single large network early on in Darren’s career helped him make the important ‘connection’ and ‘appreciation’ between businesses, their reliance upon I.T and the financial loss that can occur.
Darren’s next appointment as a Senior Help Desk Analyst was for a large public sector company based in Southampton Hampshire, where he managed a nationwide network of Microsoft Windows workstations, servers and a group wide email system and site to site connectivity.
Continuing the career in I.T support and installations, Darren spent many years in his next appointment within a large I.T support and consultancy company, who were a renowned Sage & Pegasus specialist based in Totton, Hampshire.
Along the way he has gained many industry specific qualifications such as Novell CNA and Microsoft MCP and MCSE. Working with many different businesses at different levels has given Darren a high level of experience and he is well placed to offer I.T advice and support to the many small and medium sized businesses along the south coast.
When Darren gets a break from work and running the business, he likes to enjoy a round of golf playing with a handicap of 26, he also enjoys football and snooker.
